1998: BCcomponents is spun off from Philips Electronics. After emerging from the Philips Electronics Passive Components division, BCcomponents (Beyschlag Centralab components), starting in1999, seeks to establish its presence in the marketplace.
2002: Vishay acquires BCcomponents. The acquisition of BCcomponents, former passive components businesses of Philips Electronics (the Netherlands) and Beyschlag (Germany), greatly enhances Vishay's global market position.
